Sumatran Tiger Report
WALT:write a report/narrative.
A 21 year old Sumatran Tiger, called Cantik has been put down at Wellington Zoo on the 28th August. Wellington zoo staff have decided to put the tiger down because it has been suffering adrenal tumors and several arthritis.
Cantik has a very special name which means Beautiful in Indonesia. Sumatran tigers a critically endangered species and there’s not much living in the world. The population of Sumatran tigers are Under 400. Sumatran tigers have short powerful legs, Huge paws, and a powerful jaw which is bigger from most other tigers. Sumatran tigers have special webbing to their feet which makes them swim a lot faster.
I think that Sumatran tigers should not be euthanised and should die naturally.
Wellington Zoo should look for Sumatran tigers so they can breed and Have babies.
Survey on Sports camp T - Shirt
I found out that people wanted a medal with school logo on the front of the sports camp t-shirt. A few people did not want any of these designs to go on the front of the sports camp t-shirt. Now I have get more designs so that people can have more choices to choose from.

Prevention is better than Cure
WALT: respond to the presentation by the public health department.
Prevention is better than cure
On the 6 of August, Glen Innes School had visitors to talk about rheumatic fever, how it can make you very ill.
Dr Alison Leversha talked about rheumatic fever. She did a demonstration on one of the Vodafone Warriors players named Sione. Dr Alison put a swab into his mouth to check his throat and then it was done. She was talking about how it can get worse. Like you can get sore joints, how you cannot walk, and cause damage to your heart. Rheumatic fever can also start from sores on your skin. So to prevent skin sores, check, clean, and cover.
A legend rugby league star named Awen Guttenbeil came to share his experience about rheumatic fever and how it happened. He was playing rugby and he had a sore throat. he did not tell anyone about his sore throat. One morning he woke he couldn't walk. So his parents took him to the hospital quickly. Awen had a hole in his heart. He had treatment for 10 years with injections shots into his bottom.
The message In this article is not to ignore a sore throat tell someone about because it can get worse and it can lead it to rheumatic fever.

Adding and Subtracting Fractions
Adding and Subtracting Fractions
Playing this game you had to know how to add and subtract fractions. The easy part about this game was when the game gave easy equations to solve. Playing this game nothing was hard. I think that my teacher should give my math group more challenging work on fractions like dividing.
